Carey Azzara is an executive level research
professional and brings over 20 years of experience to
Management Insight. Prior to joining Management Insight
Azzara worked for TechTarget Inc. which purchased The
AlignIT Group, a company that Azzara co-founded and
managed. The AlignIT Group developed new research
offerings and worked with several organizations to
provide products and services aimed at making the IT
purchase process more efficient and effective for both
buyers and suppliers. He was the Chief Research Officer
at Hurwitz Group and prior to that Director of the
Corporate Computing Vertical Views Program at IDC.
While Chief Research
Officer for Hurwitz Group he ran the research and
consulting group recognized for its ability to help
clients achieve success by identifying and articulating
the business value of technology. Azzara led the firm’s
development of worldwide custom and syndicated primary
research products - quantitative and qualitative.
Azzara's principal focus is to direct programs that
develop, execute, and interpret demand-side research to
provide clients with the highest quality intelligence
possible.
Azzara leverages over 20
years of expertise and is a resource to his clients for
statistical significance testing, multivariate analyses,
and power calculations to determine sample size
requirements, and data collections methods that maximize
response rates. At International Data Corporation (IDC),
Azzara was a Director responsible for all of IDC’s
Corporate Computing Vertical Views worldwide demand-side
research, global vertical market research programs, and
was the founder of the Technology Integration Panel
Study, a worldwide tracker with quarterly data
collection in 14 countries and eight languages.
Prior to Azzara’s tenure at
IDC, he had established an extensive background in
research design, statistics, and data collection
methodologies. He is a recipient of the coveted James
Peacock Memorial Award for Professional Excellence in
Market Research. Azzara holds a Bachelor of Science in
psychology and a minor in business from Upsala College.
He received his Master’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson
University in Applied Social Psychology and completed
doctoral training in Survey Research and Statistics from
Boston College.
